Mailbox Verification

Mailbox Verification

Your mailbox can be reserved online, but USPS verification must be completed before the mailbox can be activated.

Your private Mailbox Setup link is the secure way to complete verification.

Use the link provided after checkout or in your mailbox setup email to enter your information and securely upload your identity documents.

1. Government Photo ID

You will upload one current, government-issued photo ID.

  • Driver's license or state ID
  • Passport
  • Military ID
  • Permanent resident card

2. Address Verification

You will also upload a separate acceptable document showing your current residential address.

  • Vehicle registration
  • Lease, mortgage, or deed
  • Voter registration
  • Home or vehicle insurance document

3. Business Information

Business mailbox customers will provide the business information requested in the setup form.

  • Business legal name
  • Your title or role
  • Authorized mail recipients
  • Other requested business details

4. Review and Signature

Submitting the online intake does not activate the mailbox by itself.

  1. Submit your verification information.
  2. Staff reviews the documents.
  3. Complete required signature verification.
  4. Staff approves PS Form 1583.
  5. The mailbox can then be activated.
Do not begin using the mailbox address until Central Coast Mailboxes confirms that the mailbox is active.
